Finally, we are online! Dear weather community, it took us a long way – it all started in the hot summer of 2003, when McLure and Bonaparte fires threatened the area and we started with wind forecast to assess the fire danger and with satellite imagery to find early hot spots. Meanwhile we deliver a daily email forecast to more than 500 households, we established many weather stations from Williams Lake to Spences Bridge, from the Fraser to the North Thompson. We took pride in preparing webcams for you to see the beauty of the scenic CRD and TNRD landscape, satellite images with local place icons and radar loops on google earth background.
Thanks to all those who helped, Dwain in the early heydays, Mary-Ann, Jamie, Terry and all the others who helped to make www.theweatherman.ca come true. Thanks to the folks at the weather station places at the Williams Lake golf course, at the Hills Health at 108 Mile, at Forest Grove, at Canim Lake, at Gopher Rentals at 100 Mile House, at north shore Horse Lake, at Sheridan Lake, hey, Mitchells at Barriere, thanks for helping at 70 Mile, Nick, the awesome Moondance Guest Ranch in the Marble Range, the friendly Silvagro people at breathtaking Walhachin and, yes, it will be the hottest spot in Canada, we keep lovely Spences Bridge in our minds with two weather stations and one camera.
